Steve,
Personally, I'd say that your apology show's character and
professionalism. As such, I
salute you for the same.
Alan / List / Et al,
I've worked (a moon or two ago) with Alan ... IMHO .. Outstanding
personality, very
astute, smart, but most importantly, extremely jovial and ALWAYS willing
to lend a
helping hand (even at 0400 hrs).
Once more, IMHO and to all, I think it would be prudent to realize that
.....
a) email is email and hence, extremely prone to mis-understandings ....
b) email is impersonal ... (e.g one could be laughing their guts off but
... the
recipient/s does not catch that)
c) most importantly, AFAIC, we all make mistakes ...
Our 'community' is small as is ... what say we make amends and go on ...
Just my .002 cents ....
Kind Regards.

Subject: An apology
I would like to go beyond my off hand little apology a few minutes ago
and apologize to the list for my post responding to Alan Schwartz. The
post was in bad taste and inappropriate for the list and for Alan. And,
it clearly reflected that it was I who did not understand the point of
discussion.
I apologize for any discomfort and I'll renew my efforts to be more
restrained in my replies in general and my promotions in particular.
Kind regards,
-Steve Comstock
