i had this years ago with an SMPPTS dataset -
and could recover it by doing an IEFBR14 with allocation
specifying ABSTRK (absolute track allocation) .
It is just like recreating the pointer to the dataset .
If you know where it start and how large it was incl. Directory blocks
this should work

Hi

One of our guys has mistakenly deleted a PDS for which we have no
backups at all (naming standards point to a dev PDS but it is a
production PDS).

We know on what volume the dataset was cataloged and the storage
administrator has 'DISNEW' the SMS volume in order to prevent any new
allocations in order to recover it.
