Hello All. I am in the market for a new notebook/laptop. I am looking at DeLL, Toshiba and recommendations from this group. Any suggestions are gratefully appreciated. One thing that has turned me off is having no choice between Vista & XP Pro. <SNIP> AVOID VIA Tech Video and related chips if you EVER want to run Linux. I've got the problem and getting S3 Chrome drivers is like pulling teeth (first you have to get the materials to make the pliers, then do the forging yourself...). Similar issues for their South and North gate (or beach) audio and network (including WiFI). And no, I'm not making it up, I have what was supposed to be a Linux based laptop... Wanna guess what chipset it has?
