I do, at least with reasonable probability. There are now 30 additional System z Enterprise Class mainframes in the world. z/OS runs exclusively on mainframes. z/OS runs an increasing superset of standard middleware, has the most sophisticated workload management and highest degree of resource virtualization of any operating system, and requires only a few talented people to support huge business operations, among other attributes. This is a journey, and my educated guess is it's only beginning. My second educated guess is that it'll dawn on somebody that DB2 for z/OS, or GDPS, or [fill in the blank] is an excellent solution. - - - - - Timothy Sipples IBM Consulting Enterprise Software Architect Specializing in Software Architectures Related to System z Based in Tokyo, Serving IBM Japan and IBM Asia-Pacific E-Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
