Both System p and System z are built on the same line, by the same people and packaged into the same crates for shipping. And having taken the tour of the production facility several times, I can tell you they are -very- thorough at every step of the way. I would be pretty skeptical that the packaging of the box had anything to do with whatever really happened here.
