I'm going to hate myself for responding, I just know it. I don't believe the OP's question suggested any illegal activity. In my mind, that is the only basis for questioning a poster on anything non-relevant to his/her question.
I don't recall being questioned about my employer, their training budget, my duties, my physical location or the size of my work group as a prereq to asking questions on ibm-main. (Current sig line may include some of that info, but postings in previous lives may not have.) Politics and tech don't mix. It's unnatural, like a Chihuahua - Doberman mix.
