lucky you. I attempted to get us access to the advantis telnet server which meant other userids for servicelink (The German servicelink has always worked kind of different.) This is the repsonse that I got from the US: "the US IBMLink environment will not help in this case. It is not configured for European users and even if access was given, functions like ETR, SRD could not be guaranteed to work. The EMEA VM environment is not completely sunset, but will not be usable since some underlying features have been removed and we have no support. Obviously there are no direct alternatives to SIS and SRD, but SSR will be able to access all the Deutsche Bourse PMRs, providing read and update facility if ETR is not available. That is our position unfortunately. We do not have alternative systems for various support functions, and therefore when functions are unavailable, there is severe client impact." In other words: All servicelink users outside the US (and maybe Canada) are basically screwed. IBM refuses the rest of the world acces to the VM servicelink and tells them to make do. Their hint to use ssr is useless, too, when the login application doesn't work. In addition, it causes a lot more work once you can get ETR to work again. Last week we had another sev1 on our Lotus Domino servers (all four servers did failover and then were lost), and at the same time servicelink was completely unusable. How do you sent an email (provided you already have the email id of *some* support person) when your email system doesn't work? Regards, Barbara Nitz -- Psssst!
