Back when tours were allowed, we kept a pretty buffed room. Then one day, a  
breaker was tripped or something so they plugged the big buffing machine into  
the back of one of the dasd controller service outlets. Ummm, talk about 
parity  errors....
 
We had a prof that was on sabbitical  doing telemetry design for space  
station when they blew up Kansas computer center. He got put on the 'review and 
 
recommend' committee. One of their findings was architectural review. 
Evidently, 
 one section of the raised floor caused parity errors when traversed in the 
wee  small hours. About a 9' square section had no risers and was supported  
only by the BUS/TAG cables and power  conduit.
