[Cross posted to IBMTCP-L and MVS-OE] For a couple of years now I've set our zPad up to be able to send text messages to my cell phone. I know that a number of companies do this so that if a production job blows up the job has an extra step that will notify support via a text message. Way cool.
Today I was testing this out and could not get it to work. I contacted my wireless provider and they said they no longer support this. You can't even send a text message to your cell from their website like you used to be able to. Only mobile-to-mobile. Has anyone else encountered this with their provider? I'm currently using AT&T (started w/ AT&T, spun off to become Cingular, bought back under AT&T) but I'm thinking of switching to someone else. Any recomendations? -- Kind regards, -Steve Comstock The Trainer's Friend, Inc. 303-393-8716 http://www.trainersfriend.com z/OS Application development made easier * Our classes include + How things work + Programming examples with realistic applications + Starter / skeleton code + Complete working programs + Useful utilities and subroutines + Tips and techniques ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
