Some of my trouble may have been due to an overlay. At any rate, this I do not understand:
I cannot ALESERV ADD them unless I specify CHKEAX=NO. Yet I can immediately used the returned ALET to access the storage, thus proving that I do have EAX authority (which I should have, since I am running with AX=1).
