I am refurbishing some console automation that restarts an initiator if it fails.
Two questions: 1. Is there any new facility that does this automatically for a JES2- managed initiator? (WLM-managed initiators handle themselves) 2. Anyone know a good way to get an initiator to abend and terminate? (for testing) I tried running a simple program which gradually getmained all the user storage in a step with REGION=0M, but I got an aux storage shortage before I actually got all the memory. Perhaps I need to add page datasets, or write a more complex authorized program so I can get other subpools and be non-swappable.
