Jacky, After the tape drive went offline, did it have to be repaired? You might want to try the following: - Vary offline the remaining tape drives on this controller, 890 - 893, I presume. - Reboot the control unit that these tape drives are attached to - Wait about 3 - 5 minutes for the controller to finish rebooting - Vary online all tape drives on this controller. If this doesn't solve the problem (e.g., the tape drive is still broken), call your IBM tape drive repair person.
