Others may have already made the request and know the reasons for previous rejections. That will help fine tune the new request (or help identify the effort as flogging a dead horse). 2. Others may provide additional or better business cases for the request. 3. IBMers may be able to explain why the effort is a waste of time. 4. IBMers may say "Don't bother - well known requirement". I can't think of a better place than IBM-Main to hash out a formal request to IBM. Others may differ; I expect I will hear from them.
