Thanks to all who have replied so far. I'll reiterate that we DO NOT
have any of the optional crypto hardware installed (yet); we have ONLY
the CPACF DES/TDES (feature code 3863) enabled at present. The optional
crypto hardware is on next year's "wish list".
I've also learned that our installed level of ICSF (HCR7720) is rather
outdated; HCR7750 is now the level offered for z/OS 1.7 and later via
web deliverable (I might also note that the manuals I've been using,
from IBM's public library site, appear targeted to HCR7731). So, I'll
download and install HCR7750 and "start over".
