Agreed. Usually caused by "finger checks".

Which is why I wrote Jol decades ago, to solve the "JCL Problem". It was used for decades by most of the mainframe sites in Australia, and Amoco in the USA. It is still available and stops most JCL errors.

There is now a version that runs on Windows, which makes JCL to run on the mainframe.
