I am writing a server specifically for a small group of clients, and is not intended to be a "system wide" resource (such as, say, a TCP/IP socket.) I know SVCs are passé. That's why I'm asking the question :) My server doesn't know which clients will need his service. The clients will be batch jobs, and the meat of the program is customer written.
