Takes too long. Haven't you seen the Visa debit card commercials? It
takes too long to use anything other than their card, which doesn't even
require a PIN!

I make change automatically in my head. I can't help it. I'm generally
as fast as the register. And at my grocery store, the checkout person
doesn't do change. That is done automatically by a change dispensing
machine attached to the register. They only count out bills. I'm
surprised that the register doesn't have to tell them how many of which
bills to give out. I expect an ATM-like dispenser in the future so that
the clerk doesn't even have to do that. And that may be good. Imagine
trying to hold up a convenience store where their is no cash drawer!
