VSM CHECKREGIONLOSS in DIAGxx.
In which z/OS release did that become available?
My hazy memory says it was a last minute "Jim Mulder special" in 1.6 but
that could be completely wrong. I might have heard about it at a TDM or
over a beer.
This post should spark a memory (since I was responding to you, Chris)
and offer a little insight into the genesis of this idea and its
eventual implementation.

Jim and I first discussed this issue back in April 2000 after this post:

He wasn't doing as much "above the RADAR" coding as he does today. (He
wasn't an STSM back then either!)
We took a two-pronged approach: I would submit a SHARE requirement; he
would simultaneously write the code. The funny part (at least looking
back now) is that the requirement got rejected -- twice! (Idiots!) But,
Jim persisted and delivered this extremely valuable enhancement in spite
of the "head winds". Once it was documented, it was "in". Thank you Jim
Mulder!
