Apparently the problem is that maintainance was done without using the binder that goes with the release. I presume that using the right level of the binder is a requirement, and that is certainly why the binder is shipped in miglib.
I'm sure there are other circumstances that would have more subtle problems, such that no change to the "old binder" to give you a better clue of what is going on would suffice. What would you suggest as a means of making sure that customers use the proper release of the binder?
