We just learned the hard way that in our installation it is impossible to ftp a
dsnytpe=large dataset with a primary allocation >64K to IBM. The 'normal' ftp
(not using a c/c++ program) inside our firewall ends 'normally', but the
transfered bytes do not fit the dataset size. I have found an II14* info apar
that states z/OS 1.7 cannot do it (including ftp). Is anyone aware if at least
ftp under 1.8 can do it? (I haven't found anything but admittedly haven't dug
too deep as I had to find a way to transfer the dataset one way or another).
I shudder to think what will happen if we really have a standalone dump to
tranfer to IBM that is bigger than 64K primary....
Regards, Barbara
