The 'normal' ftp (not Dear Barbara, I don't know about the dsntype=large, but I can tell you that only a few days ago, I transferred through FTP a dataset of several megabytes from out of the mainframe (zOS 1.6) to a Windows server without any problem and without loosing a single byte. I guess there must be some constraint set on the receiving end. You say you transfer 'to IBM'; maybe you should ask their system administrator to allow you to send bigger files?
