I create a PTF; RECEIVE, APPLY, and ACCEPT it. Then I rework it with a higher REWORK operand. RECEIVE witn no SELECT operand will automatically RECEIVE it if it appears in SMPPTFIN because of the higher REWORK. But will APPLY or ACCEPT with no SELECT likewise select it automatically? I suspect not; barring that, is there any LIST or REPORT command that will identify PTFs in the TARGET and DLIB zones whose REWORK doesn't match that in the GLOBAL?
(Wishlist item: SHA-1 checksums in the zones to verify that the PTFs APPLYed and ACCEPTed match those RECEIVED.) My personal choice would be to eschew REWORK and issue a SUPerseding PTF with a unique sysmod ID, but I may be overruled by management. -- gil ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
