I don't think this is correct. My understanding is that during a power on reset, the CPU clock is set from the SE, but after that it is not changed. The SE clock is then synchronized once a day to the CPU clock. I think you can also setup a dial or network connection to sync the SE clock with another time source (but this won't change the CPU clock unless you power on reset). Our z890 does pretty well, I last set it about 6 months ago, and it is now 25 seconds fast.
