As a whole, I disagree with the article as well. But it DOES raise a few valid points. The biggest point I see is the error of letting the purchasing dept. decide what software to purchase, rather than the technicians and/or users. It's like trying to feed liver or spinach to a child; the more you force into him, the less he's going to like it and the more vocal he's going to be about it.
