This is just too weird. I tried almost every combination of my exec leaving out certain parts, etc. And it only fails when I do it in a particular sequence. So I'll just move things around until I get it to work. I don't feel like messing with it anymore. Obviously a bug or something else I'm doing wrong. Except it is simple: P this, wait a bit, P that, wait, and so on until I can stop JES.
I'd research the error messages, but all IBM documentation has been down since yesterday early afternoon (Helsinki time). No surprise there. Thanks for everyone's help. I was a bit tired last night and not thinking. No problem to shut down TSO and start it again. (Duh, I don't have to run the entire shutdown script to test it. (-: ) It isn't TSO. But something that I'm shutting down during the process is giving me this error: AXR0500I AXREXX OUTPUT DISPLAY FRAME LAST F E SYS=ZMVS EXECNAME=SHUTDOWN REQTOKEN=0000400000000000C24246ABACB93649 16 +++ x=sleep(5) IRX0004I Error running SHUTDOWN, line 16: Program interrupted I'll go back through the system log and try to narrow it down. Between the time it works and not I've done the following: P RMF P HZSPROC P TCPIP P TSO After this x=sleep(5) fails with the above error. Should be easy to find if I stop things one by one. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
