We have found the enemy and it was me. According to IBM it was the Dynamic volume count causing the problem. Something that they have seen before so at least I'm not alone.

However, you can concatenate multiple input data sets that are on the same or different volumes. ________________________________ Ken wrote: I thought a PDS could not be multivolume and therefore could not allocate it as multivolume? -----Original Message----- O'Brien, David W. File has 1 extent. Could be. IMO, LNKLST data sets should be allocated without constraint relief so that they will not need to go to another extent.
