I disagree. I still think that page volumes (regardless of size) should be dedicated, except the PLPA/CSA 'trick'. It's cleaner and less inviting of problems. Also, DASD is cheap enough, these days. Yes, SUSPEND/RESUME is no longer in use, on supported releases of z/OS. Mind you, I think paging is going the way of the Dodo, just like swap has.
