I had a similar problem, in 1981.
All our start up procedures, including IPL addresses, were stored in a PDS.

I printed the stuff off an operations management gave me a real hard time
because it 'wasted paper'.
But, a week later, we had a major failure of an IPL.
Because I had printed it off, we knew where the alternate SYSRES was.

I became a hero.
