Just about. There are "communications difficulties" between our two groups. Part of which is due to the fact that we don't share a management structure until we get to the CIO. The mainframe group is in "operations infrastructure" under one director and the "open systems" administrators are under some other structure (I forget what it is called) under a different director. It's not so much me and my counterparts at the "grunt" level. I would be perfectly happy to control the z/VM environment and just create the virtual machines / users for the other group and let them do the Linux work. Well, I would like my own z/Linux environment for some things. But that is me. -- John McKown Senior Systems Programmer HealthMarkets Keeping the Promise of Affordable Coverage Administrative Services Group Information Technology The information contained in this e-mail message may be privileged and/or confidential.
