MXI 4.3 uses 52 character because I wanted to be able to cater for a 44-byte
dsname and 8-byte member name and as its screen width was limited to 80-bytes
that was the maximum I could go to if I wanted the other information on the
screen as well (jobname, sysname etc). Obviously these restrictions are
something that I removed in MXI G2 which can show the full Rname.

It is worth noting that "D GRS,RES=" truncates the Rname at 50 bytes (you get a
"T" character on the far right to indicate that truncation has taken place) and
I could not find any way of getting the full rname listed using the operator
command.

John,

TASID and ISRDDN share the same code base. David's problem will be the same
under TASID. After looking, MXI truncates the entry after 52 characters, TASID
and ISRDDN after 51 characters. Not sure what SHOWMVS displays.

<Snippage>

TASID, a free tool maintained by ISPF Development, is probably the simplest
utility to do that (and more). Ask your sysprogs to download and install it,
and let you use it.
