If you share MIA in the same address space it can come along for the ride. See the MIM documentation on using the MIMASC PROC which executes a program that uses ASCRE to start the MIM ASID. FYI... we run MII and MIC in one address space, MIA in another. Some LPARs (monoplex) run MIA only. MIA runs in SYSSTC on all LPARs that use it.
