No, it was binary from UNIX to LINUX by default during the SFTP process, but
then it is using FTP to get it from LINUX to z/OS which the default is ASCII.

Mary,

Is the FTP GET from z/OS binary?

If it is binary, the LF would not be used to break
the file into lines.
