Alan,
Yes, the 'pie chart' is what I'm looking for. However, the old lovely and
easily discernible multicolored pie icon has given way to a hugely boring
blue circle with an 'i' in the middle. The information is displayed
differently, but it's still there when you need it: total storage
installed, amount used for HSA (no longer meaningful for z10), amount
available at the moment (may or may not be designated for an LPAR via Image
profile); and a breakdown of how much each LPAR has allocated at the
moment--which may or may not agree with your expectations.
I see all that and way much more when logged on as SYSPROG. Almost nothing
when logged on as myself.

Skip,
Ok I tried doing Single Object Operations, and the ONLY storage
information I can see is under the Customize/Delete Activation profiles
icon.
I'll have to wait till I'm in the office on Monday to see what's
missing.
The HMC code level I tried it on is 2.9.2. The processor is a z9.
At one time I recall seeing a pie chart showing storage allocation,
real/expanded/HSA - is that the one that you're looking for?

Alan,
You didn't really address my problem by saying you can do 'everything'.
I
can define profiles, activate/deactivate LPARs, IPL images all via the
'Workspace' view over VPN from anywhere in the world. All well and good.
My
problem is with Single Object Operation to a specific CEC.
Can you view 'Storage Information'? If so, then I have set up something
wrong. If not, then you're seeing the same problem I'm seeing.
