Cut/paste the relevant log entries and refer the issue to the appropriate DASD folks. Not clear what else you could be expected to do. If, however, the DASD folks give you new/different SMS parameters, then it would be reasonable for you to communicate those to the business partner. Perhaps directly or via some formal process. However, your role is one of a simple messenger/facilitator.
