Ron, Thanks for all the good information. We only have one Shark box. The Lpar I am setting up will only be used for backups, and will probably be shut down the rest of the week. Actually, I kind of like the idea of nothing shared. All we would need would be a separate pool of 3590 tape cartridges, but they wouldn't be catalogued on the production system if needed for restores.
