KVM? The are no display, keyboard or mouse ports to virtualize.

It never was, but it supports more images and provides better management
than PR/SM. Further, even if IBM added display, keyboard and mouse ports
to zArchitecture, they would do nothing to change virtualization of, e.g.,
CPU, DASD, network, storage, resources.
