Who's "we"?   My father was in WWII (Pacific), I didn't get
commissioned until the end of the Vietnam era.   My Marine brother
didn't get commissioned until over a decade later.   I can't claim
credit for what happened before I was born - and I won't take blame
for stuff like slavery which happened before I was born.

What part of those liberations did people in both sides of this thread
contribute as they argue about "we" getting credit?
