Interesting. I believe myself to be really sensitive to such and have not had the problem. Makes one wonder if there is another phenomena at play here. Florescent lights also refresh at 60 Hz in the US and tend to become pretty annoying as they age. More, florescent light fixtures can emit 60 Hz EMI (Electro magnetic interference) which can interact with some monitors. <SNIPPAGE> Actually, a florescent tube flashes at 120 Hz because they are an AC device not a DC device (or one-way conductor similar to a rectifier). This is why a refresh rate that is not an integral multiple of 60 is a good thing. And the other phenomena that I spoke of appears to me like that of two radar units working in close proximity where you see the "trace" from the other radar crossing your screen. You also see something similar when you have a camera pointed at a CRT -- you can see this light wavy line that slowly moves from top to bottom while looking at the monitor attached to the camera. It is a head-scratcher to me that such would be seen on an LCD monitor. And in my case, these are all new tubes, recently replaced with new ballasts. Again, a head-scratcher.
