Hi Gadi,

When restoring to a back level of FDR, the consideration is if that level of
FDR supported the device geometry that is to be restored.

In this case, as long as the FDR backup that is being restored is a 3390-3
or lower, it would be able to be restored on a system running FDR V5.3/56P.

Subject: FDR question

Hi,

Would there be a problem restoring backups made using FDR v5.4/56p on z/OS
1.7 using FDR v5.3/61 on a system running OS/390 v2.10?

TIA

Gadi
