I think they are looking for a z/os based web server that uses an ordinary browser as a client.
Cool idea, but I don't think one exists at this time. Most all of the product's I've seen are all PC based such as IBM's Host on Demand, one of the Bluezone products , or some such. -----Original Message----- From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List [mailto:ibm-m...@bama.ua.edu] On Behalf Of Cynthia Davis Sent: Tuesday, March 17, 2009 2:13 PM To: IBM-MAIN@bama.ua.edu Subject: Re: Is there a Web enabled TN3270 on z/10's running z/OS 1.9 The Windows Server Team currently owns the AVIVA application running on Windows 2000 that allows us to get a TN3270 screen from the web. They are looking at other options and wanted to know if there was an option on the z/10's to allow someone to come in from the web and get a TN3270 screen or did they need to search outside of the mainframe platform. ________________________________ From: Tom Marchant <m42tom-ibmm...@yahoo.com> To: IBM-MAIN@bama.ua.edu Sent: Tuesday, March 17, 2009 10:43:00 AM Subject: Re: Is there a Web enabled TN3270 on z/10's running z/OS 1.9 On Tue, 17 Mar 2009 07:24:46 -0700, Cynthia Davis wrote: >Our Windows Server Team is looking for alternatives to our current >Aviva solution. Perhaps if you could provide more information about your requirements we could offer better advice. It is not at all clear what this has to do with your Windows server team. -- Tom Marchant NOTICE: This electronic mail message and any files transmitted with it are intended exclusively for the individual or entity to which it is addressed.
