Whenever the HOLDDATA says to (rarely), we do so on our maintenance volume #1. Same for SADump, with IPLTEXT, on maintenance volume #2. DSS or FDR physical copies with CPYVOLID=NO ensures these updates get rolled out with the maintenance. "No brainer". Then there's the hundreds of ACTION holds to review (and MSGSKELs)...
