All, I know this subject was discussed last month, and now that I am installing RDZ for the first time, I find myself treading the same territory. Eventually, we will have a couple hundred new users of OMVS resources.
I am trying to set automount to automatically allocate the home directory. We use automount for other stuff already, but this is the first time trying allocate new filesystem if it does not exist. /* Map member for AUTOMOUNT to manage /* the /u/rdz user file systems /* name * type zfs filesystem <uc_name>.RDZ.UNIX.ZFS mode rdwr delay 0 duration 0 lowercase yes allocuser space(1,1) cyl But when I CD to that directory for myself I get: $ cd /u/rdz/dave cd: /u/rdz/dave: EDC5129I NO SUCH FILE OR DIRECTORY. If I preallocate the file, then it is automounted correctly. Any ideas? _________________________________________________________________ Dave Jousma Assistant Vice President, Mainframe Services [email protected] 1830 East Paris, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 MD RSCB1G p 616.653.8429 f 616.653.8497 This e-mail transmission contains information that is confidential and may be privileged.
