I have spent quite some time searching for the equivalent of a 3592 Functional Characteristics manual. Or a 3592 Tape Subsystem Hardware Reference.
I need to get my hands on what the precise command codes (doing EXCP w/ CCWs) are for certain types of I/O, what the response is to, say a BLOCKID operation, and so forth. I have this for 3480, 3490 drives. But I sure can't find it for the 3592 (yes, I know, it is now obsolete and replaced by some LTO drive, 1120?). Can someone point me to where I can get this manual or its equivalent?
