I'll probably post more detail tomorrow night - after I review what I did and run some more tests to convince me that I'm not hallucinating. :-) (The short description of the fix is: adding -D_LARGE_FILES to the makefile, and tweaking tailor.h to point zfseeko to fseeko.) Did you ever manage to get gmake from the link I posted?
