Hello, I am wonder if anyone of you has experience on JDBC Type 4 access to IMS DB?
Are you using Infosphere Classic Federation Server? Or the new IMS Connect? What are the pitfalls to watch out for? e.g. poor performance. Can anyone point to some benchmark figures for reference? We are study a case to migrate application from mainframe to Webshere Application Server on open system. If there is a need to mass update the master database on IMS on mainframe, would you do it via remote database access, or develop a Java batch program on mainframe. (Since we do want to develop program on the mainframe, we are wondering how efficient the JDBC type 4 access will be?) Billion thanks!!!
