My usage pattern for reading IBM-MAIN via web browser is to hold the shift
key down and click on the post. My computer then opens a new web browser
window which happened to be not fully maximized in size. It was in this
un-maximized (that is, smaller than full screen) web browser window that I
frequently saw issues where words at the end of a line were repeated on the
next line of a post. If I used the mouse to resize the window (either
smaller or larger) in a way which forced the browser to reflow the text, the
repeated words always disappeared.

Again, I have had no trouble with this in Firefox, which appears to have no
difficulty correctly flowing text every time.
