This looks strangely like the difference between a 3380 (47476 bytes/track) and a 3390 (56664). 47476 / 56664 = 0.84 21 / 25 = 0.84 Check with your storage admin people as to the default track length, under SMS. If it is 47476, then the catalogue should be allocated as 30 cyls to get 25. The other remote possibility, is you don't have 25 contiguous cyls. As an aside, I usually pick a much larger catalogue size. - Too busy driving to stop for gas! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
