I was told that the volumes are real 3380. However, since I don't have
access to the DATACENTER I cannot be 100% sure.

I'm absolutely flabbergasted that you can still get maintenance for real
3380 drives. It has to be horrendously expensive!
Seems to me that it's about time to update to a more current geometry,
and a more robust device. I'll bet a used SHARK can be had for a song. :-)
