As far as I know, best practise is to take whatever default IBM currently takes. We removed exspat ages ago from all parmlibs and take the defaults. That also means that the SFM intervals get computed automatically and can be displayed with a D XCF command. I believe there is an XCF health check that tells you you did right if you didn't specify anything.
