No idea since I don't 'do' NetView. I guess this is because there are two NetViews per system, one system automation netview and one networks netview. MPF is set to AUTO(YES) for everything. And I also guess that this was done specifically (ages ago) for command responses to commands issued from the networks netview (note that the console names start with an 'N' - networks netview) to prevent lengthy replies to (vtam?) commands from cluttering up syslog and (automation) netlog. I basically inherited most of the MPFEXIT code and have combined the crucial instructions from several into the sample I provided.
